TACC3 levels are altered in several human cancers, for example, ovarian, non-small cell lung cancer, and bladder (Schmidt et al., 2010), and fusions between TACC3 and FGFR3 are reported in glioblastoma and bladder cancer (Singh et al., 2012; Williams et al., 2013). The gene discussed is FGFR3; the disease is glioblastoma.
