BMI1 and neoplasm: In this study, we showed that miR-494 directly binds to the 3′UTR regions of Bmi1 and ADAM10 in HNC-TICs (Figure 4), thus represses the tumorigenecity and TIC properties such as sphere formation capability, CD44 and ALDH1 expression, clonogenic ability, and in vivo tumor initiation incident (Figure 5).
