In this study, we showed that miR-494 directly binds to the 3′UTR regions of Bmi1 and ADAM10 in HNC-TICs (Figure 4), thus represses the tumorigenecity and TIC properties such as sphere formation capability, CD44 and ALDH1 expression, clonogenic ability, and in vivo tumor initiation incident (Figure 5). The gene discussed is ALDH1A1; the disease is neoplasm.
