Although no test for the MOG specificity of the B1 cells was carried out in this study, the magnitude of the decrease in B1 cells (29% of the B cells) in the referred study was however too small (1.2% in MS patients versus 1.7% in normal individuals) to account significantly for our observation (RRMS had a 36% decrease in MOG-BBR). The gene discussed is MOG; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
