A significant decrease of MMP-9 was observed in AAA-MSCs cultured in a dry environment both at 37°C (5.5-fold decreased in comparison to control AAA-MSCs, p = 0.03, paired t-test) and 4°C cultures (13.6-fold decreased in comparison to control AAA-MSCs, p = 0.02, paired t-test) (Figure 3C). This evidence concerns the gene MMP9 and triple-A syndrome.
