We demonstrate, for the first time, that miR-337-3p is under-expressed and anti-correlated with MMP-14 expression in clinical NB specimens, and directly binds the MMP-14 promoter to suppress its transcription via inducing chromatin remodeling, thus inhibiting the growth, invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis of NB cells in vitro and in vivo, suggesting the tumor suppressive roles of miR-337-3p in the progression of NB. This evidence concerns the gene MMP14 and neoplasm.
