In univariate analysis for 30-day mortality (S3 Table), older patients, those with chronic pulmonary disease, those admitted for acute pancreatitis, those who were post-transplantation, those with high Pittsburgh bacteremia score, those complicated with Enterococcus faecium bacteremia and those with lower levels of albumin were associated with poorer prognosis.
