Taken together, these results showed that hypomethylation by DAC in lung cancer cells not only inhibited cell migration, but also inhibited cell invasion through down-regulation of β-catenin, Snail and Vimentin, as well as up-regulation of E-cadherin, involving the inhibition of NF-κB and MMP-2 expression. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is lung carcinoma.
