Comparison of T cell subsets between patients with active or stable SLE showed that patients with active disease had significantly lower proportions of CD3+CD4+ T subsets and higher proportions of CD3+CD4+Tim-3+ and CD3+CD4+Tim-3+Fas+ cells (p = 0.01; Fig. 4).
