F2 and neoplasm: In a number of reports that included all degrees of PVTT/HVTT, the median survival durations varied from 9.0 to 26.0 months [13,15,16,23,36–38], which was even longer in some subgroups with particular clinicopathological and surgical characteristics, such as the thrombus confined to the first or second branch of the main portal vein, prothrombin activity≥75%, maximal tumor diameter <5 cm, and less than three primary nodules [7,15,38,39].
