Importantly, both of the mammalian variations analogous to G723S in CDC42BPG, a downstream effector of Cdc42 capable of participating in cytoskeletal reorganization, and STK38L, a serine/threonine kinase important in neuronal cell differentiation, were detected in lung adenocarcinoma, providing an important contextual precedent for the potential role the G723S may have in contributing to the development of lung cancer. This evidence concerns the gene CDC42 and lung adenocarcinoma.
