Though several downstream targets of miR-184 such as AKT2, NUMBL, SHIP2, NFAT1 have been identified in different cell types, nevertheless there have been no definite reports on the functional role of miR-184 in breast cancer nor detailed analysis of signalling pathways that are potentially modulated by miR-184 [44, 54, 62, 63]. The gene discussed is NFATC2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
