Notably, the levels of cell death and electrolyte leakage in leaves of pTRV2-Sl3-MMP-infiltrated plants were significantly higher than those in leaves of pTRV2-GUS-infiltrated plants after infection of B. cinerea (Fig. 7c), leading to 38 % increases for electrolyte leakage at 24 h after infection (Fig. 7d).
