This issue was comprehensively discussed in the review of Corre and Galibert [5], summarizing that USF1 has antiproliferative properties and regulates many genes of cell cycle and tumor suppression (i.e., cyclin B1 gene—CCNB1, cyclin-dependent kinase 1 gene—CDK1, breast cancer 2 gene—BRCA2, tumor protein p53 gene—TP53, adenomatous polyposis coli gene—APC and others). This evidence concerns the gene USF1 and neoplasm.
