NF2 and Vestibular schwannoma: NF2 pathogenic alterations (point mutations and genomic rearrangements) can be found in about 45–55% of sporadic patients with bilateral vestibular schwannoma [2, 3]; considering that our group of patients had been previously analyzed by MLPA to rule out the presence of genomic rearrangements (10–15% of the NF2 alterations), our detection rate is consistent with data from the literature.
