Due to worsening renal function with creatinine rising to 4.9, renal biopsy was performed revealing mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis, Figures 2(a) and 2(b), with crescents, Figures 2(c) and 2(d), and IgA, Figure 2(e), also consistent with HSP. This evidence concerns the gene CD79A and hereditary spastic paraplegia.
