In slices treated with TGF-β1 for 10 min before a weak tetanus, a 56% increase in CREB phosphorylation was found (1.58 ± 0.07 vs. 1.01 ± 0.04; Bonferroni post hoc: p = 0.001; two-way ANOVA for the interaction between tetanization and TGF-β1 treatment: F(2, 6) = 25.470, p = 0.001; Fig. 1e).
