CREB1 and tetanus: Accordingly, western blot performed on hippocampal slices treated with SB431542 showed a decrease of the physiological phosphorylation of CREB expected after a strong tetanus (46% decrease of p-CREB in slices treated with SB431542 compared to vehicle; 0.74 ± 0.05 vs. 1.41 ± 0.09; one-way ANOVA: F(2, 6) = 23.489, p = 0.001; Bonferroni post hoc: p = 0.002, Fig. 2b).
