These results suggested that the combination of metformin and aspirin could significantly inhibit pancreatic cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo though suppressing anti-apoptotic protein Mcl-1 and Bcl-2, and increasing pro-apoptotic proteins Bim and Puma, as well as disrupting their interactions in pancreatic cancer cells. Here, BBC3 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
