Following infection, P2X7R-/- mice had statistically increased levels of phosphorylated NFκB (Fig 4B) and p38 MAPK (Fig 4C) as well as reduced levels of phosphorylated CREB when compared against infected C57BL/6J mice (P<0.05, two-way ANOVA coupled to Tukey’s post-hoc test).
