Whereas this ratio distinguishes two different types of CLL samples, the determination of the LDOC1/ADAM29 ratio allowed distinction of 3 subclasses: IgVH mutated with high expression of ADAM29, unmutated samples with high expression of LDOC1, and a third category (mixed mutated and unmutated samples) without expression of LDOC1 and ADAM29. The gene discussed is LDOC1; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
