A previous clinical study had revealed that long-term therapy with BZYQT suppresses total serum levels of IgE, PGE2, LTC4, and COX-2 mRNA expression in IL-4-stimulated PMN in patients with perennial allergic rhinitis, indicating that BZYQT is beneficial to the non-acute stage of allergic rhinitis via anti-inflammatory mechanisms [16]. This evidence concerns the gene IL4 and perennial allergic rhinitis.
