FTO and polycystic ovary syndrome: In one large-scale study in a Han Chinese population, the A allele for the FTO gene was significantly more frequent among PCOS patients than it was in the control population (14.1 % vs. 10.2 %; A allele vs. T allele, OR = 1.44, P = 1.86E-09), which was in accordance with our study [25, 22].
