These data for CDH1 are consistent with findings in the literature (Chen et al., 2003 [33]; Dong et al., 2001 [34]; Narayan et al., 2003 [35]; Attaleb et al., 2009 [36]), which showed that CDH1 was methylated in less than 50% of cervical cancer samples, indicating that partial promoter methylation of the CDH1 can down-regulate the gene expression.
