Our results add further evidence to the hypothesis that p53 status rather than MYCN expression governs the sensitivity to cdk inhibition (Supplementary Figure S3–S5) and, moreover, indicate that the cdk1/CCNB1 axis is important for the resistance to cdk inhibition by loss of functional p53 in neuroblastoma cells (Supplementary Table 1). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is neuroblastoma.
