Genomic studies of Burkitt’s lymphomas found TCF3 to be among the most mutated genes (Schmitz et al., 2012) and 70% of patient samples were identified with heterozygous TCF3 deletions in Sezary syndrome cells, an aggressive T cell lymphoma (Steininger et al., 2011). The gene discussed is TCF3; the disease is T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
