Erythropoietin (EPO) is a 30.4 kDa glycoprotein and a haemopoietic hormone, which primarily stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of erythroid precursor cells in the treatment of renal and nonrenal anaemias.[9] Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γPGA) is the most promising biodegradable polymer that is produced by Bacillus subtilis.
