GSDMB is a member of the gasdermin (GSDM) family that consists of four genes, GSDMA, GSDMB, GSDMC and GSDMD [14, 15], and is expressed in proliferating cells of normal epithelium and also in many types of cancer, including esophageal, gastric, liver, colon, uterine cervix and breast cancers [14, 16–18]. This evidence concerns the gene GSDMB and breast carcinoma.
