Since FOXD3 exerts inhibiting effects on the initiation and progression of cancer, it is plausible that FOXD3 expression is downregulated in a range of malignancies, including breast, colorectal cancers as well as neuroblastoma, melanoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) [11,16,18–21]. The gene discussed is FOXD3; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
