With regard to the intervention mechanism of hMSC on HCC, studies have reported that hMSC are found to colonize the liver of mouse models of orthotopic liver transplantation and can differentiate into hepatocytes that express albumin; in addition, the hMSCs are mainly found in the marginal area of the tumor and rarely present in tumors or normal liver tissues, and a large necrotic area is observed in tumor tissues following hMSC transplantation [21]. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is neoplasm.
