To determine the influence of WTA l-rhamnosylation in Lm intestinal persistence, we performed oral infections of adult CRAMP knockout 129/SvJ mice (cramp-/-, KO) [49] and of age- and background-matched wild type mice (cramp+/+, WT), with the wild type or ΔrmlACBD Lm strains and monitored the respective fecal carriage. This evidence concerns the gene CAMP and infection.
