MTDH and breast cancer: The inhibitory rate and apoptosis rate of MCF-7/ADR cells from the MTDH group after 24 h treatment by 1 mg/L doxorubicin revealed an obvious decrease and induced cell cycle arrest more at G0/G1 phase and reduction of S and G2/M phase when compared to the control group, which indicating that down-regulating MTDH can inhibit the proliferation of human breast cancer MCF-7/ADR cells, and increase the susceptibility of breast cancer cells to doxorubicin.
