Other independent risk factors for intractable endostasis in peptic ulcers include age ≥70 years, shock on hospital admission, hemoglobin <8.0 mg/dL, serum albumin <33 g/L, exposed vessels ≥2 mm diameter in the ulcer base and Forrest-type Ia and Ib lesions [23].
