CCR4 and T-cell and NK-cell neoplasm: Working with the hypothesis that the chemokine expression pattern of T-cell neoplasm may give insight into their cellular origins, the group of Osamo Yoshie were first to show that CCR4 was expressed at consistently high levels on the surface of a wide range of human T-cell lines (Yoshie et al., 2002), including Hut87 and Jurkat lines, which they had previously examined by Northern blot analysis (Imai et al., 1997).
