Among several signals that affect the PCa progression, we found that TR4 might play a protective role to suppress the prostate tumorigenesis, knocking-out TR4 might increase PIN and/or prostatic carcinoma formation [12], and targeting TR4 with lentiviral silencing might alter the chemo-resistance of PCa stem/progenitor cells [28].
