It has recently been shown that a high expression of serglycin induces a more aggressive behavior of human breast [4] and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) [5] cell lines, and that NPC liver metastases have a higher expression of serglycin than NPC primary tumors suggesting that increased serglycin expression may contribute to an enhanced invasive phenotype. Here, SRGN is linked to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
