In analogy with these results, the present study identified an inverse correlation between the expression of Snail and E-cadherin (r=−0.225; P=0.028), positive expression of Snail was significantly correlated with surgical stage, histological type and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), while negative expression of E-cadherin was significantly associated with histological type, tumor myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis (P<0.01). This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
