The Ins/Del polymorphism of the ACE gene and polymorphism by A> C substitution at nucleotide position 1166 of the AGTR1 gene were analyzed in 1162 patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) by S Ye et al. [16], suggesting that ACE and AGTR1 gene mutation may contribute to the severity and increased susceptibility to CADs. Here, ACE is linked to coronary artery disorder.
