Recognizing that PPARs have an important role in controlling inflammatory responses [7], we investigated the expression of PPARs in total BAL cells, in BAL AM and in BAL and in peripheral blood CD4+ and CD8+ T cells from healthy controls (HC) and from sarcoidosis patients with or without Löfgren’s syndrome (LS and non-LS). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is sarcoidosis.
