In our case, dinaciclib also triggers apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells with the reduced protein expressions of anti-apoptotic proteins including Mcl-1, XIAP, survivin, etc. Notably, Mcl-1 and Bcl-xL levels in solid tumors are the predictive biomarkers for dinaciclib induced apoptosis and antiumor response [29], and dinaciclib potently inhibits Mcl-1 to induce durable apoptosis in aggressive MYC-driven B-cell lymphoma [30]. Here, MCL1 is linked to B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
