The kinesin KIF20A has been shown to be a potential downstream FOXM1 target required for normal spindle formation and chromosome segregation.19 To explore a possible role of FOXM1 in paclitaxel resistance and the mechanism of action involved, we investigated the expression levels of FOXM1 and its putative target KIF20A in the breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells as well as the paclitaxel-resistant MCF-7 TaxR cells in response to paclitaxel treatment. This evidence concerns the gene KIF20A and breast carcinoma.
