MAPT and tauopathy: Especially rhodanines (e.g. bb14, IC50 = 0.67 μM) and phenylthiazolyl-hydrazides (PTHs, i.e. BSc3094, IC50 = 1.6 μM) efficiently inhibit Tau aggregation and show a low cytotoxicity in cell-based assays [77,78], in C. elegans [35] or in hippocampal slice culture models of tauopathy [79].
