CHEK2 and breast cancer: In our opinion, however, the question is very relevant as the majority of CHEK2 BCs is hormone sensitive at diagnosis (de Bock et al. 2004; Kriege et al. 2014; Schmidt et al. 2007; Weischer et al. 2012) and DNA diagnostics for CHEK2 have recently been implemented in the Netherlands (as part of genetic testing in the context of familial BC) and will be possibly impemented in other countries with a high prevalence.
