CFA 13 harbors several key cancer genes, most notably the c-MYC and c-KIT proto-oncogenes; however, CFA 13 gain manifests primarily as a whole chromosome aneuploidy, in contrast to the recurrent focal deletion of CFA 11q16 (Thomas et al. 2009, 2011; Angstadt et al. 2011; Hedan et al. 2011; Seiser et al. 2013; Poorman et al. 2015; Shapiro et al. 2015).
