Consistent with the IHC staining results from UTUC specimens, western blot analysis showed that the KPNA2 level was very low in normal human urinary tract epithelial cell line SV-HUC-1, while cancer cell lines derived from low-grade (5637), superficial (RT4), and invasive (T24, J82, UM-UC-3, and EJ) urinary tract TCC showed increased levels of KPNA2 (Figure 2A). This evidence concerns the gene KPNA2 and cancer.
