We then examined whether CD82 inactivates p38 in leukemia cells, and found that forced expression of CD82 in EOL-1 cells results in a 5-fold decrease in the level of p-p38 and increases in both phosphorylation at the threonine residues and total EZH2 (Fig 2F and 2G). The gene discussed is EZH2; the disease is leukemia.
