These findings, regarding the function of NRP1 in melanoma, are in accordance with a previous study, indicating that NRP1 is an enhancer of cancer invasion, that patients with high expression of NRP1 have shorter disease-free and overall survival, and that NRP1 is an independent predictor of cancer relapse and poor survival in patients with NSCLC (10). This evidence concerns the gene NRP1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
