HULC (highly up-regulated in liver cancer) has been identified as highly up-regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (Panzitt et al., 2007) and colorectal carcinomas that produce liver metastases but not in the primary colon tumors or their non-liver metastases (Matouk et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene HULC and hepatocellular carcinoma.
