CXCR2 and acute pancreatitis: Taken together, the data suggest that inhibition of neutrophil infiltration to the pancreas, either by Cxcr2 deletion, CXCR2 inhibition or neutrophil depletion, restricts pancreatic damage in response to caerulein‐induced acute pancreatitis and prevents the development of a pancreatic monocyte–macrophage infiltrate.
