To determine whether the expression levels of miR-4728-3p were correlated with the major molecular subtypes of breast cancer, including ErbB2-positive, ER-positive, PR-positive, and triple-negative cancers, we performed Pearson's chi-square analysis and found that miR-4728-3p expression was not significantly correlated with the major breast cancer molecular subtypes in our patient cohort (Supplementary Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and breast cancer.
