A recent pathway-based analysis of pooled GWAS data reported that T-helper (Th) immune response genes (Th1/Th2), such as transforming growth factor-beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2), chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18), and IL13RA2, were associated with pancreatic cancer risk [23]. Here, CCL18 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
