Since the cyclin D1 is one of the major downstream targets of Wnt/β-catenin signaling and the DACH1 is associated with Wnt pathways in colorectal cancer [20], we hypothesized that DACH1 could also repress cyclin D1 abundance via inactivation of Wnt signaling in HCC. Here, DACH1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
